Meet the Valuer
Craig Guinane, Principal
Land & Building Valuations (LBV) was founded by Craig Guinane, an API Certified Practising Valuer with over 20 years of experience in the property valuation industry. Based in Brisbane, Craig provides independent property valuations of residential, commercial, industrial and retail properties across Brisbane and the broader South East Queensland region.
Craig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Property Economics from the University of Western Sydney. His valuation career began at Preston Rowe Patterson NSW Pty Limited as a residential valuer and gained considerable expertise in industrial, retail and commercial property valuation.
In 2001, Craig was formally accredited as a Certified Practising Valuer (Without Limitation) by the Australian Property Institute (API) — a credential that recognises his professional qualifications, ethical standards, and technical expertise.
In 2004, Craig relocated to Brisbane, joining Herron Todd White (Brisbane Commercial) Pty Ltd, where he provided valuations across a broad range of property types, primarily for mortgage security purposes.
Seeking more complex valuation assignments, Craig joined CBRE Valuations Pty Ltd in 2007 and then later moved to JLL Brisbane Valuations in 2016, where he was responsible for sourcing new business and undertaking general valuations, together with providing compensation assessments and complex financial reports. As part of the service of providing compensation assessments, Craig also engaged in access negotiations and acquisition of land for infrastructure projects.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Craig joined WBP Group – Brisbane in 2020, where he specialised in the valuation of upper-end and median-priced residential properties within Brisbane.
In 2022, Craig established Land and Building Valuations (LBV) to provide high-quality property valuation services. He is well-positioned to deliver precise, independent valuations that meet the diverse needs of clients and property types.
